Chinatown . Los Angeles
Despite living in the city of angels from 1996 to 2000, for some reason I never took the opportunity to visit the compact Chinatown neighborhood, a short walk northwest of downtown.
The complete area is about 12 square blocks total, a good map is here in the official site, and some interesting postcards of Chinatown dating back to the 1940s
Some of the four to five story office buildings have open atriums in the center, which many stores surround them on all levels. The main floors are have kiosks selling almost everything, and looking it’s a wall of colorful products bursting out of the storefronts.
