Not Again – More Phone Books!

I spotted this today at 12th and Pennsylvania, in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The delivery guy was walking the block, heaving them into apartment building lobbies and front porches.

This nonsense courtesy of YellowBook, which somehow is different than Dex, Verizon, and the many other companies that insist on leaving these worthless paperweights at your door.

I’m baffled at how this is profitable. The demographic of this neighborhood is twenties to early forties tops. I predict most of these will go straight to the recycle bin or garbage. We’ll see what day this dump truck makes it to my doorstep…

In the meantime visit Yellow Pages Goes Green to learn how you can opt out.

  1. It is AMAZING, how many business still THROW THEIR MONEY buying ads in this doorstop! I know businesses that spend $1000 a month to be in there! Who looks at it? NO ONE. Well, maybe my grandmother in Iowa still uses them, ok. But for the most part, its a waste of money and trees!
