I stopped at Crown Burger on the way home from work Thursday. This is one of the best burger places in Denver – family run, a clean spartan dining room with loud yellow seats, and a great family team behind in the kitchen. I’ve been going visiting here since I worked retail on Colorado Boulevard in the mid 90s. They’re on my bike commute route home as well making it easy to burn off the onion rings.

I usually just grab a quarter pounder, which is a around $3. This time I asked for a medium drink, and like magic the price dropped to $1.95. The girl explained to me they are celebrating their 22nd anniversary by giving away free quarter pounders with the purchase of a drink through mid September.

Not only is that a great deal, but this Saturday the 29th they’ll be doing 22 cent hamburgers – which means the place will be packed. Check it out, and try one of their pastrami burgers too!
