Goodwill Store Alert
Hopefully I haven’t lost many readers since I haven’t posted in a week – but remember I work full time, am counting down the days to my return trip to Argentina, and have just completed adoption of a “special needs” dog.
Now – if you’re in the Central Florida area check out Ocala’s gleaming new Goodwill Store. It’s off Route 200 in the Shady Oaks shopping center. This wine fridge is a steal at $65, (it works,) but I didn’t want to deal with sending it back home.
A word of caution though: Don’t argue about beanie babies ringing up 20 cents per item higher than marked. While waiting to exchange a lampshade for a relative in a nearby assisted living center, (the reason I make the frequent pilgrimage to Central Florida in the first place,) two ladies started giving the cashier guff for pricing errors. His response of “You ladies may want to shuffle on back and take a second look at the rack then….” and similar mannerisms reminding me of “Lafayette” from HBO’s True Blood made me smile – and snapped me out of the 10am trance I fell into while pondering my existence at the Ocala Goodwill customer service desk.
His “Beauty Queen” pin on his apron completed the look. Best of luck to you in Ocala – and Godspeed.
