Thanks for the note Brian. The Luz will definitely be my place next time down. I was actually in Playa del Carmen and Valladolid last December, but didn’t have enough time to go all the way across. I'm glad their site and outlook for the place remains the same. It's earned a well deserved excellent reputation.

Next time I plan to fly directly to Merida, as to explore the entire western side of the Yucatan.

I believe Madeline is in Uruguay correct? I’m actually visiting Buenos Aires this fall and will probably do an overnight trip to Montevideo. If she’s in the same line of work I will definitely say hello!

All the best- James…

We Live In Denver But Lived In Merida. Our Friends Tom And Donard Bought Luz En Yucatan From Madeline A Couple Of Years Ago. The Hotel Has Been Remodeled And Is Awesome. The Rates Are Still Low And They Offer Free Drinks As She Did Except In Air Conditioned Comfort Or Poolside. Visit Them And Merida Again-I Insist.
