Praline Connection . New Orleans
We found that the famous Praline Connection was near The Burgundy Bed and Breakfast, the guest house we were staying at during our time in New Orleans.
We dined here our first evening in the Crescent City. After a few hours of driving from our previous stop in Tuscaloosa it we enjoyed a hearty southern meal, while the rain cooled off the day’s steamy air.
I had the Seafood Combo Platter, which their menu describes as “Fresh shrimp, oysters, catfish strips, stuffed crab, lightly seasoned, battered and deep fried, accompanied with French fries and salad.” Accompanying our dinner was jambalaya soup and warm corn bread. Good eats, attentive staff, and a wonderful southern ambiance.
They’re located at 542 Frenchman Street, a block north of Esplanade. Praline Connection.com
