Deutsches Museum . Munich

What’s great about a rainy day? Taking in museums of course.  Being a science geek and fan of technology and it’s history and development, the Deutches Museum is the perfect place to spend a day poring over old computers, automobiles, and watching timeline of 20th century German engineering.  In fact you could probably make three days exploring all the nooks and crannies that house such history.

Equally as impressive is seeing how many people were lined up outside – who apparently must have had the same idea.   Overhearing the languages I could tell not all those in line were tourists – many German folks as well.

The “transport” section of the museum is fascinating.  Detailed exhibitions on subway construction and methods of city development are explored with old equipment, maps, and artifacts.

The Deutsches Museum is in central Munich, easily accessed via the UBahn and SBahn rail lines at the Isator Station.
