  1. Peter Max is such a great artist that he paints countless versions of the same image, over and over again. The Denver show just highlights how overpriced and uninspiring Peter’s works are. Pretty pictures for over the couch in questionable collections. I’d rather go on a cruise to find one that is at least realistically priced. gringo get a clue on the arts in Denver before selling out to temporary vendors of art.

I think the same generalization could be stated for those by don’t care for the sandy New Mexican landscapes of Georgia O’Keefe, or the jagged styles of David Hockney.

Thanks for the comment. But is there an ulterior motive in disparaging the show?

  3. Years ago I went to a Max show and was walking my dog after the show when Peter came outside to pet my dog. My dog was from a rescue program and Peter is an animal activist who has put much time and money to several causes. I saw him the next night and gave him a photo of my dog as a gift since they liked each other so much. Peter is so selfish and materialistic that he re-gifted me a few months later. He gave me back the photo after touching it up as only he can with his wonderful warmth and colors.

Peter is a great artist and person and I would have to say that my free gift from Peter was not overpriced at all.

I think comment #1 was on a cruise and passengers sent him off on a dingy – seems like he got a little to much sun.

PS: What was up with the gringo name calling? How does he know where someone was born?
