the denver mezzo in denver are an absolute nightmare. The management is so incompetent and unprofessional it makes me ill to pay rent each month, but alas, I'm stuck. I've come to find the wall under my sink has been rotting away, and that holes in the walls were filled with vaseline and painted over (come on at least use toothpaste). they have lost 2 of my rent checks (and I'm only halfway through my 1 year lease). the denver mezzo apartments do have a nice lobby, but that is about it.

I'm glad that I chose a unit on the first floor, as the elevators seem to have constant problems. Also, gotta love the fire alarms going off all of the time - makes for good exercise since I'm not like most tenants who have just come to ignore them but unfortunately won't know it's not a false alarm. Packages have come for me, without notice from management that it was signed for, so christmas gifts were late because the office was closed.

Hi and thanks for that note! Sounds like we were former neighbors. I was moving (to L.A.) at the time the major construction started.

I wish I had spent some time chatting with Sheldon when I saw him a couple years back. He was a very congenial person and hopefully things are working out ok.

Maybe in the future Watson's could morph into a nice deli and supermarket. It's still a great neighborhood. (I just live on the other side of Cheesman now,) and it'd be great to see something more upscale in that space.

I lived here also as a not legal student after a move to Denver from Minneapolis. It was my first apartment without roommates and it was heaven. I was lucky enough to get one of the apartments with a balcony and I remember sitting out there all night listening to all the different city noises. I moved out right when they were in the process of putting in the a/c units. A/C would have been wonderful to have as my apartment faced south and was really hot in the summer months. I invested in all sorts of fans and portable swamp coolers. I remember Sheldon. I also remember a guy we called "bondage man". He used to walk around in full bondage gear. He was the first resident I saw when I moved in and totally freaked out my mom. It was hilarious. I have so many great memories of living there. Every time I'm in Denver I have to drive by. Thanks for the memories.
