Here’s a cool event in Boulder the weekend of September 26-28: The Tatanka Music Festival. If the absence of Kinetics has left a hole in your heart then this is at least a reason to gather at the Boulder Reservoir.
This three day music festival includes The Disco Biscuits, Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd, Honkytonk Homeslice Electric, and 49 Floors.

While discussing this with at the office someone brought up this South Park episode: If its half as much fun as Hippie Jam Fest 2005 it should be worth attending.
