Oatmeal at Jamba Juice

I rarely visit Jamba Juice.  Smoothies are good and all, but they tend to send my blood sugar to the stratosphere. 

Somehow blending fruit, or whatever is added to it, results in an incredibly higher glucose content than if you just ate the fruit itself.

I like these though, and it’s a good deal.  These 12 ounce cups of oatmeal are $2.95 – and come in apple cinnamon, blue and blackberry, and banana.   I had the apple, but the berry one, like the smoothies, appears quite sugary and syrupy.  (You can always skip the toppings.)

  1. natural sugar of fruits is actually necessary for a healthy body, don’t get confused with BAD industrial sugar..
