Ushuaia was my original choice, but came in second by reasons I described.

And I promise to fill in many more details of my past three weeks, and definitely won't exclude the excellent steakhouses and parillas we managed to find.

You've given me a severe case of Patagonia nostalgia. we spent a day in Ushuaia en route to Antarctica (reminded me of Southeast Alaska but populated by Spanish-speakers) and five days in Chilean Patagonia in 2006, just when I started my www.travel-babel.com blog. I managed to post only minimal content and no images at all. So thanks for the memories of this extraordinary part of the world. I hope to return, and if/when I do, I promise to blog my brains out.
