You will be happy to know that we now have plastic scoops available to stores so they do not have to waste all the paper and cardboard. If I were you I would be more worried about the food being well over the cold line, likely reaching danger zone tempatures.

Woah. That is a pretty odd one, isn't it? I suppose I could just chalk the phenomenon up to yet another case of people being weird. Me? I'd just go get my own gift card.

But I'm going to remember this the next time I get stuck with a gift card to a store I can't stand.

I went last week -- and had a good experience. Cute interior (especially if you get to sit by the windows in front) and good food -- I had a tofu rice noodle bowl served with some really tasty pickled onions.

Briggs & Riley has a new wheeled carryon that is w little shorter & a little wider than the usual, designed to fit into the overhead, conveniently wheels first while still allow the door to latch. See http://bit.ly/g0i0c8

And Merry, Happy, Healthy & All That.

A follow up -- B-Cycle is done for the season, and will resume March 1st. With the number of beautiful winter days Denver has hopefully next season they'll remain all season.

James, one way that I think comments could be cleaned up is through a voting system that helps the most thoughtful comments float to the top. This has been attempted at some sites, but I haven't seen it done well yet. Assuming it could be done, perhaps comments would improve since thoughtful readers' comments would receive more visibility rather than being stuck behind fast-commenting racists?

And, if the racist comments were essentially buried, perhaps those commenters would also get the hint?

One system I've heard of that can help is a 2-vote system where you rate a comment on a 1-5 scale for quality and also on whether you agree/disagree with the comment. This is similar to what Amazon has done, where people are most interested in reading quality positive and negative reviews.

Nice - That's a very smart tool. As that article mentions many places (hotels, currency booths) need your to also SEE your passport and note the digits.

And if the copy is mistakenly left behind you can still get home...
