The indoor dining area is already small, yet comfortable while cozy and somehow even manages to include a tiny bar – so this should almost double the space. Given the sporadic thunderstorms that have been ambling through town I wonder if they’ll request solo diners double up downstairs when the the 20 minute torrents pass over. They’re at 2600 East 12th Avenue. Also there’s plenty of scrapwood behind the building. But ask if it’s for the taking

Below right. A friend came over for dinner last week and brought us an entire box of cupcakes from Lovely Confection, at Colfax and Steele. I snapped this photo soon before these disappeared into the hands of our guests. This mix included the regular flavors, and some surprises like carrot cake too. It’s the first time I’ve heard of Lovely, which uses local suppliers and is all organic. I’ll have to stop by for coffee soon.
